Collection: Mr. Mittens

Belgian-Australian designer Stéphanie Caulier rediscovered her childhood love for knitting when she wandered into a knitting café in New York—a moment that sparked the creation of her brand. With no formal training but tremendous passion, she produced her first collection of hand-knitted wool sweaters, recognizable by the distinctive reverse-purl stitch that became the brand’s hallmark.
Rejecting mass production, Caulier chose small-batch handcrafting out of a commitment to sustainability and community. Each piece carries the phrase “Heart working knitwear” as a tribute to the women who make it.
In just a few seasons, Mr. Mittens grew from a small passion project into a global brand sold in leading boutiques worldwide, admired for its timeless aesthetic and dedication to quality. Caulier returned to Antwerp in 2016, where she continues to develop the brand with a devoted team.
